WASHINGTON, DC: Today, independent candidate for DC Council at-large Will Merrifield submitted 513 signatures to gain ballot access for the November 3rd general election, well above the required 250 for ballot access.
“Getting the support of over 500 everyday Washingtonians proves the great momentum this campaign has,” said Will Merrifield. “But we are just getting started — getting on the ballot is a big step toward victory in November. I can’t wait to be elected to the Council to make tangible, meaningful change for the District through truly affordable housing, a world-class education system, and living-wage jobs.”
Will Merrifield is running for D.C. Council At-Large in the November 3, 2020 election. He has been a tenant rights attorney, working with tenant associations across the District to prevent displacement and preserve truly affordable and safe housing. He believes every person deserves a safe home, a quality education, and reliable employment – and will work hard to make sure every resident can achieve success.
